BOXING DAY IN AMERICA

I was like "huh, Boxing day la. The commercialized sale-day after Christmas!"

"Then why wouldn't you just call it The Day After Christmas, like normal people do?!"

But yeah, Boxing Day is UK's equivalent to US Black Friday.

Except Black Friday occurs after Thanksgiving and Boxing Day occurs after Christmas.

And Boxing Day is the term that only the UK uses. 

The Americans call it The Day After Christmas. (Why I capitalized each letter pun I dunno, it's not like a real term pun)

Anyway, enough lesson for today. (Bagus kan, setiap post gua kasi lesson)

So the day after Christmas (which was Saturday), we went out with the nieces to do some shopping. Have I ever mentioned that Don and I are the girls' Godparents? yeah dude. We so cool we the godparents. 

haahahahaha.

Ehem.

Anyways.

We went to several different places that day. 

I think this is the norm on how they go shopping. Different places on the same day. I mean it's not really different from our Malaysian people la. But I just think it's odd, sebab they just seem like it's not a big deal to park your car, look around for a little bit, then drive and go to another store and do the same cycle again. 

Aduh. 

Tak penat ke?

Kalau aku, memang leceh gilos. 

But again, I'm known for my laziness tahap cipan.

Time tu Netflix tak wujud lagi.

Now? I can watch binge watching shows and movies on Netflix AND HBONow. Tak cukup dgn tu, boleh rent movies on PS4.

Sambutan Christmas 2015

Uhhh, gigih aku bangkit dari tidur untuk update blog.
I figured baiklah aku update sekarang rather than later, sebab dah sah-sahnya kalau aku procrastinate, memang takkan ter-update la entry.

Did you know that it takes about 66 days for a new behavior to become a habit? Haaa..yeah, so kalau sesiapa yg ada azam tahun baru ni, you better STICK FOR 66 days then barulah that it will become automatik!

Patut la selama ni semua regime tak menjadi. Paling lama bertahan pun dalam 2 minggu (for me lah).

So yep.

Ok anyway. Ini bukan topik kita kali ini ya adik-adik. Kali ni topik nak cakap pasal Christmas. I also don't give a fuck if you're one of those ignorant fools yg ckp "Omaigod Alia, u ni Islam. Mana boleh wish Merry Christmas. Mana boleh pegang bible. Mana boleh masuk church. Mana boleh mana boleh"

ANYWAY, bukan topik aku untuk menaga sakti.

So Christmas kali ni agak meriah. Sebab ramai ahli keluarga berkumpul kumpul. Tapi seperti biasa, depa berkumpul di rumah memasing ya. Haha. Anyway, it doesn't matter, sebab we were invited to my bro-in-law's house on Christmas eve.

Usually Christmas eve is where they'd convene and some families would bukak their presents that night. Some would wait til the next morning. Eh, it depends la. Kalau yg jenis tak sabar tu, bukak la malam tu. Ataupun bukak a week before. Tu memang jenis tahap kesabaran senipis kulit bawang lah. haha.


Anyway, last year, it was technically my first Christmas with the Millers. So I wasn't prepared. We didn't really get anything for some of the family members, so it was awkward bila time depa kasi hadiah kat kita, we had nothing in return.

So kali ni aku dah prepared siap-siap seminggu awal. Ha ha ha. Ok seminggu awal isn't exactly "awal" by their standard, tapi sudah cukup awal la untuk procrastinator macam aku ni. Kalau tunggu lama lagi, memang takkan terbuat lah.

We've decided to give the females of the family (sebab yg jantan tak kisah sangat dpt hadiah ke tak) small canvas painting made by yours truly!

Don bought me a set of acrylic paint bottles last Christmas, so memang bagus la. Dari tak guna langsung those paint bottles (sebab I don't really "paint", I doodle :p ) baik la I put them for a good use. We bought some 2x2 mini canvases together with mini easels.

Comel nak mati. Sebab kecik je, boleh letak atas meja kat opis atau kat rumah.

 I've painted all of these in the span of 2 days. HAHA. Nampak tak kemalasan melampau tu? Padahal boleh je lukis dan kaler dlm setengah hari.

Anyway, I've tried my best to draw each one of them based on their interests. Each of them ada personalized message at the back.

Aku rasa diorg tak pernah lagi dpt hadiah mcm ni kot, sebab masing masing bila bukak wrapping paper, muka terkejut. Tak expect that I'd actually draw them something and not store-bought kot hahahah

Moving on...

Seperti biasa. Gambar stocking memang wajib sebab nak menunjukkan that I belong in the family.

Hohoho.

Mine is on the left of course. Masih penuh dgn chocolate dan cikedis. Don's hampir leper sebab dia suka curi-curi makan. hahahahah.

Our Christmas tree this year. Kecik je. Moderation la katanya. Hahah.

Last year we had a real tree sebab it was my first time celebrating Christmas with the fam. So they wanted to show me what Christmas is all about (which was just a fun tradition sebab they're not religious pun. I think my in-laws are atheists?)

Real spruce tree smells really good. Bau mcm pokok segar uols. hahah. Tapi leceh sebab needles cepat gugur. So bersepah rumah.

We didn't have a box for Gaige's present, so we used a cookie tin and wrapped it.

Bobby's present was the best.

We wrapped his present in a Razer Deathadder's mouse box (a very expensive gaming mouse) and muka bila dia bukak tu mcm "OH SHIT BRO. THIS IS A COOL MOUSE BRO" hhahahahah
